- WEB-ED v. 2.7 November, 1999.
- ________________________________________________________________
-
- CHANGES FROM v. 2.61:
- (These are explained in the new Help file.)
-
- * GET IMAGE SPECS -- Function to browse for a graphic file and automatically
- have the IMG SRC tag inserted with the width and height of the image.
-
- * VIEW IMAGE -- Function to sample color from an image file: open the image,
- click on a spot, and get the hex code for that color. Also works to get
- width and height.
-
- * EXE -- Programmable menu item that allows a shortcut to start any
- commonly used program (like, for example, a graphics manipulation
- program) without having to leave WEB-ED. You can set the program
- choice and the text of the menu item.
-
- * SETTINGS -- A new Settings window: set default EXE program with text.
- (see above) Set default font face and size.
-
- * UNDO -- Added Undo to cut, copy and clear.
-
- * POPUP MENU -- Added right-click 'context' or popup menu in the editor window.

-
- Bug Fixes :
- * Fixed an oversight that allowed cut and copy to work when no
- text was selected. This was a problem if copy was accidentally clicked
- instead of paste, thereby erasing the Clipboard.
- * In v. 2.6x when there was text in the editor window and the program was
- closed from the 'control box', the X in the upper right, WEB-ED would ask
- if you wanted to save the text; If you changed your mind and clicked cancel
- then the window would close wrongly but the program would keep running
- until next reboot....that's been fixed.
-
- Known Issue : The text window component has its own printing functions
- that don't seem to always work properly. You may find that if printing
- goes to 2 pages then a few lines get clipped between pages 1 and 2.
- If you're reading this then I haven't worked it out yet!
- The solution is to select one page worth, print it, then select the rest
- to print.
- There is a potential issue, known to Microsoft, whereby in occasional
- cases the print function could be incompatible with the printer and not
- work at all. If this happens you can e-mail me and I may be able to make
- you a version that will work.
